Their opponent is going to have something of a home-field advantage, as the Huskers will take on South Division champion Texas in Saturday's title game.
The Longhorns have a lot riding on this game, which comes one year after being jilted on a tie-breaker. Texas is 12-0 heading into Saturday's matchup, and a win would give them an opportunity to play for the national title in the BCS Championship Game against either Florida or Alabama.
A lot is riding on the line for Nebraska as well. A win would guarantee the team a 10-win season for the first time since 2003, the year Frank Solich was fired. Current coach Bo Pelini was an assistant at the time and served as the interim head coach when Nebraska beat Michigan State in the Alamo Bowl to finish a 10-3 season. It would also give the Huskers a BCS bowl bid for the first time since 2001, when they lost to Miami in the national championship game at the Rose Bowl.
Great seats for the Big 12 Championship game between the Huskers and Longhorns are available now at Ticket Express -- where no Husker football game is ever sold out.
