After a disappointing 31-10 loss to Texas Tech, the Husker football team will be looking to get better this week as they take on North Division rival Iowa State in an 11:30 a.m. kickoff at Memorial Stadium.
The Huskers came out completely flat last week against the Red Raiders and were never in the game. Texas Tech raced to a 21-0 lead early on and never let the Huskers get closer than two touchdowns after that.
The Husker football team will face a different kind of attack in Iowa State. The Cyclones have the conference's leading rusher in Alexander Robinson, who averages 105 yards per game, and quaterback Austen Arnaud, who is a good run-throw option for the Cyclones. Iowa State's offensive line has done a good job protecting Arnaud this year, allowing him to be sacked just seven times in six games.
There is some question as to whether or not Zac Lee will be the starting quarterback for Nebraska this week. He did not play well in the loss to Texas Tech and freshman Cody Green has shown some promise, forcing coach Bo Pelini to consider who gets the starting job Saturday a "game-time decision."
