The linebacker position has been a question mark going into fall camp, but Nebraska football will have a talented group attacking the Florida Atlantic offense when the Huskers take on the Owls Saturday at Memorial Stadium.
Defensive coordinator Carl Pelini announced late Wednesday that Will Compton will start at the MIKE position, Sean Fisher will take the BUCK position and the WILL position will see Mat May and Blake Lawrence splitting time.
The linebackers will have their hand full with a Florida Atlantic team that includes some talented tight end, but Pelini said the Huskers have faced some talented tight ends in fall camp with Mike McNeill and Ben Cotton that have helped the Nebraska football team in its defensive preparations for the 2009 season.
The Huskers will take on Florida Atlantic in the 298th consecutive sellout at Memorial Stadium, but you can get great seats for the 6 p.m. season opener now at Ticket Express -- where no Husker football game is ever sold out.
